CAM Hot Topics — Continuing Education Exemption

Governor DeSantis signed SB 382 into law on May 17, 2024, exempting certain Community Association Manager licensees from continuing education requirements.

Section 473.0055, Florida Statutes (as modified by SB 382), exempts licensees from continuing education requirements if they hold an active license, have held it continuously for at least 10 years, and have no disciplinary history. Licensees meeting these criteria may verify exemption status through their online account or the Department's licensing portal effective July 1, 2024.

Community Association Managers licensed by the Regulatory Council of Community Association Managers who meet the three eligibility criteria (active license, 10+ years continuous licensure, no discipline).

Effective July 1, 2024.
