CAM Archives — Licensing requirement change for Community Association Managers
House Bill 995 was signed into law, lowering the threshold for mandatory Community Association Manager (CAM) licensing from 50 units to 10 units or annual budget exceeding $100,000.
Florida Statutes now defines 'Community association management' as management of community associations for compensation when the association or associations served contain more than 10 units or have annual budgets exceeding $100,000. A Community Association Manager license is required to provide this service. The previous licensing threshold was 50 units.
Community association managers who manage associations containing more than 10 units or with annual budgets exceeding $100,000.
Effective October 1, 2008.
