S0062 — Resilient Buildings

S0062, titled Resilient Buildings, was filed in the Florida Senate on November 22, 2024, and died in the Finance and Tax Committee on June 16, 2025, without passage.

The bill proposed to define the term 'resilient building' and to make owners of resilient buildings eligible for a specified tax credit. The bill would have required building owners to file an application with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation by a specified date to claim the tax credit. The bill also proposed to create the Florida Resilient Building Advisory Council adjunct to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
