S0696 — Grants for Low-income Senior Citizen Condominium Unit Owners

Senate Bill 696, which would have required the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to establish grant requirements for low-income senior citizen condominium unit owners, died in the Regulated Industries Committee.

The bill proposed to require the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to establish by rule the requirements, maximum grant amounts, and other terms for grants to low-income senior citizens who own condominium units. The bill did not advance beyond committee review.

The bill would have applied to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation and affected low-income senior citizen condominium unit owners if enacted.

The bill was indefinitely postponed and withdrawn from consideration on May 3, 2025, and died in the Regulated Industries Committee on June 16, 2025. It did not become law.
