H0195 — Education in Correctional Facilities for Licensed Professions

H0195 proposes legislation requiring the Correctional Education Program to develop a plan enabling inmates to take classes for credit toward professional licensure requirements.

The bill directs the Correctional Education Program to coordinate with boards of professions within the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), or with DBPR directly when no board exists, to establish a program allowing incarcerated individuals to earn class credits applicable to state licensure requirements for regulated professions.
