H1203 — Homeowners' Associations

H1203 was filed on January 4, 2024, and enacted on March 12, 2024, to establish requirements for community association managers, CAM firms, and homeowners' associations regarding document disclosure, website posting, and application of architectural and construction standards.

The law imposes obligations on community association managers and management firms to meet certain qualifications and operational standards. Associations must post specified documents on a website or make them available through an application by a date certain. The law provides that an association or its agent is not liable for disclosure of certain information. Associations and their architectural, construction improvement, or similar committees must apply and enforce certain standards reasonably and equitably.
