H1541 — Use of Audioconferencing by Community Associations

H1541, a bill specifying provisions regarding roof covering reimbursement schedules and roof coverage limits in homeowners' and property insurance policies, died in the Insurance & Banking Subcommittee.

The bill would have clarified that provisions relating to homeowners' policies, replacement cost coverage offers, and law and ordinance coverage offers do not prohibit insurers from providing roof covering reimbursement schedules, offering roof reimbursement on a replacement cost basis, or limiting roof coverage to a stated value, provided such stated value sublimits would not apply to roofs in specified circumstances. The bill did not proceed to further consideration.
