S0050 — Provision of Homeowners' Association Rules and Covenants

Senate Bill 50 was filed to require homeowners' associations to provide copies of rules and covenants to members and to authorize website posting of such documents.

The bill would have required associations to provide copies of rules and covenants to every member before a specified date and to each new member thereafter. The bill authorized associations to post a complete copy of rules and covenants, or a direct link thereto, on the association's website homepage under certain circumstances. The bill also required associations to provide specified notice to members regarding the availability of these documents.
