S0592 — My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program

Senate Bill 592, the My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program bill, was filed, processed through three committee substitutes, and laid on table on April 29, 2025, after the companion House bill (CS/CS/HB 393, Chapter 2025-173) passed.

The bill limited participation in the My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program to certain structures or buildings, revised the types of improvements eligible for grant funding, required that improvements be verified during a final hurricane mitigation inspection to qualify for grant funds, and specified that mitigation grants may be awarded only for improvements that will result in a mitigation credit, discount, or other rate differential.
