S0954 — Certified Public Accountants

Senate Bill 954, a measure authorizing certain certified public accountants to place licenses on retired status with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, was laid on table on March 5, 2024, with reference to its companion measure CS/HB 813.

The bill would authorize licensed CPAs to apply for retired status, specify conditions under which retired status is lost, permit retired licensees to accept certain reimbursements or per diem amounts, and prohibit retired licensees from offering or rendering certain professional services.
