S1140 — Mobile Homes

Senate Bill 1140 was read a second time on the Senate floor on March 1, 2024, and was substituted with CS/CS/CS/HB 613.

The bill, as described, would require that petitions for mediation in mobile home disputes be filed with the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes for review of adequacy and conformance. The bill would authorize parties to jointly select a mediator and initiate mediation proceedings. The bill would require that specified live-in health care aides have ingress and egress to and from a mobile home owner's site without having to pay charges.
