Senate Bill 1378 proposed transferring the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation to the Department of Legal Affairs.

The bill would have required both departments to enter into a memorandum of agreement by a specified date and would have required the Department of Legal Affairs to develop rules and procedures for resolving certain disputes using all possible means of alternative dispute resolution.

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Department of Legal Affairs, and the division's regulatory jurisdiction over condominiums, timeshares, and mobile homes.

The bill died in the Regulated Industries Committee on 2024-03-08 and did not advance.
