S1584 — Agents of Student Athletes

Senate Bill 1584, relating to agents of student athletes, died in the Regulated Industries Committee on June 16, 2025.

The bill proposed to prohibit agents of student athletes from receiving more than a specified percentage of total compensation derived from the use of the student athlete's name, image, or likeness. The bill also proposed to require agents representing high school student athletes to be licensed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
