S1706 — My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program

Senate Bill 1706 was filed to revise the definition of condominium property and authorize the Director of the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes to accept certain assurances in lieu of specified percentages of sale price.

The bill would have allowed a condominium to be created within a portion of a building or within a multiple parcel building. The bill required that a specified statement be included in contracts for the sale of condominium units and authorized the Division director to accept certain assurances in lieu of a specified percentage of the sale price.

The bill died in Rules on March 8, 2024, and did not become law.
