S1746 — Property Insurance Policies

Senate Bill 1746 was filed to specify provisions relating to homeowners' property insurance policies, replacement cost coverage, law and ordinance coverage, and roof covering reimbursement schedules, but died in committee without passage.

The bill proposed to clarify that certain insurance regulations do not prohibit insurers from providing property insurance policies that include roof covering reimbursement schedules or offer roof reimbursement on the basis of replacement costs. The bill also proposed to prohibit application of a roof covering reimbursement schedule under certain unspecified circumstances.
